Fishing Report – Sept. 20, 2019

Anglers heading out on the water this weekend should expect temperatures in the mid 80’s with possible rain on Sunday.
Coho fishing has picked up. Many Anglers have reported a fair amount of Coho in the St. Joseph River, and many have had luck fishing the Pier. Most of the Coho were caught on pearl and silver Rattling J-Plugs by Luhr Jensen.
Muskegon Lake has been reported to have a good run of salmon. Anglers have been catching most of the fish on red, white, or gold colored Dardevle Spoons by Eppinger or Sexy Spoons by Strike King in 8 to 20 feet of water.
Anglers have reported that pike fishing has started to pick back up as fish have been more aggressive when hitting Aglia Dressed Treble Spinners by Mepps.
Largemouth bass are still moving into their fall pattern.  Fishing aggressively with bait fish imitations is how most anglers have been having success on the water.
