Fishing Report – Nov. 14, 2019

The weather for the weekend is expected to be cloudy with temperatures in the mid to high 30’s.

Water levels are high in the rivers, anglers are finding good sized steelhead while fishing with spawn. Steelhead in the Kalamazoo river is improving below Allegan. Those fishing with flies also had good luck fishing for steelhead. Pier anglers are catching steelhead with spawn as well.

Trout fishing has picked up with the cooler temperatures, anglers are increasing catch rates with small black, olive and rust colored streamers.

Walleye have been caught on smaller minnows near the Grand River.

The Muskegon river has produced a few salmon on spawn.
