Fishing Report – Feb. 14 2020

The weather for the weekend is expected to be in the low to mid 30’s with chances of light snow showers on Saturday and Sunday. With temperatures staying consistent, more lakes around Kalamazoo are starting to freeze. Remember to exercise great caution when traveling on ice, cold weather suits like the StrikeMaster Floating Surface Jacket and StrikeMaster Floating Surface Bibs can only aid in your safety while on the water.

Anglers were able to find good limits of crappie and bluegill. The bite was slow, anglers had to move around to find the school. Anglers had success fishing a Panfish Leech Flutter Spoon by Clam along weed beds.

Pike were being caught on Blue Ice Pike Tip-Up by Clam rigged with smaller baitfish and wax worms.

Anglers caught great numbers of walleye on Jigging Rap Vertical Jigs by Rapala, rigged with wax worms and smaller minnows’ fish were being caught in 15 to 22 feet.
